I received the good news today that eight poems for youngsters by Andrew Pender-Smith have been chosen for the new syllabus of the Speech and Drama Association of South Africa. It is due out in 2017. This comes to about thirty poems that have been included in their anthologies over the years. The Speech and Drama Association was founded in 1945 by the late Professor Elizabeth Sneddon and has given many, many thousands of school children the chance to participate in festivals of Speech and Drama. Long may its good work continue.
76 poems for children by Andrew Pender-Smith are available in the anthology ‘FANTASTIC SPACEY RACY THING AND LOTS AND LOTS OF OTHER POEMS’. It is currently obtainable as an e-book on Amazon.
